Question: Clone an existing question

Cloning questions refers to the reusing of similar question text and buttons so that you do not have to type them in again. One such scenario in which cloning questions would be useful is multiple choice forms whose only difference in qu estions is the text.

To clone a question:

1. Select Question | Clone an existing question or the Clone an existing question icon. A list of questions on your form will be displayed.
2. Select the question you want to clone from the list and OK. This will copy the text and response set into the Question Text/Name/Alias window. You can then change the question text, Question name or Alias/Title. The program will automati cally update the Question name, but you will want to alter the Alias/Title if it is not unique. Select Next and select, edit, or create response buttons in the usual way. When you are ready, click Finish and place the new question on the pag e.
