Publish - Advanced Web Form Options
The Advanced Web Form Option window has three tabs, Responses, Passwords, and ODBC.
Responses:
The Responses tab has the options Maximum number of responses to accept and Message or URL to show if the maximum has been reached. This option lets only a limited number of users to submit the survey. When publishing to a UNIX web server, a ezscounts.ini file is used to hold the current count. (Only available in compiled CGI versions.).
- Open a project.
- Select Publish
Create a web form.
- From the Web form setup screen, select More options.
- From the Responses tab, set the Maximum number of responses to accept and the Message URL to show if the maximum has been reached.
- Select Save
Note: If you select the option Send responses through email or use the PERL script to publish with. The Maximum number of responses to accept function may not apply.
Passwords:
The Passwords tab lets you specify permissions for specific tasks.
- Include the LIST program for data viewing. - The list.exe or list.cgi program is required to view and query online project data. Check the box to include it when you publish.
Password for viewing the online database. - The default is to deny permission to view the online database. The LIST program must be included to view the database online.
- Password for viewing reports. - The default is to allow permission to view reports. A report must be included in the online project to view it.
- Password for making changes to the online database - The default is to deny permission to modify the online database. The LIST program must be included to view and modify the database online.
- Password for deleting records from the online database. - The default is to deny permission to modify the online database. The LIST program must be included to view and modify the database online.
- Override password to add new records. - (Will be implemented in upcoming versions.)
- Require a password to make changes. - (Will be implemented in upcoming versions.)
Note: The compiled web CGI must be used to apply these options.
